Go Fig vs Gong

Gong records and transcribes your calls, helps managers coach from them, and forecasts revenue. Go Fig does not record calls, coach, or forecast. It is a sales admin that keeps your deals current and drafts your follow-ups between calls. So the question is which problem you have. Managers who want to hear every call need something like Gong. A rep buried in admin needs something like Go Fig.

What is the difference between Gong and Go Fig?

What Gong is for

Call recording and coaching

A revenue AI platform built on recording customer conversations. It records and transcribes calls, meetings, and emails, helps managers coach reps, forecasts revenue, and sells a set of AI agents that fill in CRM fields, review deals, and draft follow-up emails.

Best for
Sales teams whose managers want every call recorded, coaching built on real conversations, and forecasts grounded in what customers actually said.

What Go Fig is for

Sales admin

The sales admin for account executives at IT MSPs. It does the follow-through your CRM's AI only suggests, from your calls, inbox, and CRM, and nothing goes out until you approve it.

Best for
IT MSP sales teams of 3 to 10 who sell from a CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce and want the admin done without changing systems.

Where Gong is the better choice

When the job is hearing, coaching, and forecasting from every customer conversation. That is what Gong is built for, and Go Fig does none of it.

Your managers want every sales call recorded and transcribed so they can listen back and coach. You want AI that scores rep calls and turns your best calls into role-play practice for new hires. Leadership wants a forecast built from what customers said on calls, with deal boards to inspect the pipeline. You run a larger sales team, or several teams, and want one view of risk and themes across all their conversations. You sell from Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics and want deal fields filled in from calls without reps typing them. You want sales engagement and email sending in the same tool as your call recordings, through Gong Engage.

Where Go Fig fits

Go Fig is the sales admin for account executives at IT MSPs. It works in the CRM your team already sells from, including HubSpot, Salesforce, and all other major CRMs.

Keeps the CRM current

Notes, stages, and next steps land on the right deal after a call or a client email. Each change waits for your OK.

Catches what slips

Every night it flags deals with no next step, close dates that already passed, and missing amounts.

Drafts the follow-up

Written from what was said on the call, in your voice. It sends from your own Gmail or Outlook after you approve it.

Asks before it acts

Every action waits for your OK at first. You pick which tasks run on their own.

Go Fig does not replace your PSA and has no PSA connector. ConnectWise, Autotask, or HaloPSA keeps running tickets, agreements, and billing, and Go Fig works the sales pipeline beside it.

It does not build quotes either. Quoting stays in your quoting tool or your PSA.

How Go Fig works beside your PSA

Can you use Gong and Go Fig together?

Not directly today. Both can work against the same CRM, but Go Fig does not read the calls Gong records. Go Fig reads transcripts from Fathom and Dialpad, and from the recap emails Otter, Fireflies, and Read AI send.

If your team runs Gong, Go Fig still reads the calls and email logged in your CRM. It adds a 7 AM brief, a nightly check for deals with no next step, close dates that already passed, and missing amounts, and check-ins on deals that went quiet. It drafts follow-ups that wait for your OK and send from your own Gmail or Outlook.

Gong also drafts follow-ups and fills in CRM fields. If Gong already covers the admin for your team, a second tool may not be worth it.

Questions about Go Fig and Gong

Do I need Gong on a small MSP sales team?

It depends on what your managers need. Gong is built to record every call, coach reps from them, and forecast from what customers said. If a sales manager wants to listen back and coach, that is Gong's job. If you are a team of 3 to 10 AEs and the real problem is that notes, next steps, and follow-ups keep slipping between calls, a notetaker plus a sales admin like Go Fig may cover it. Gong quotes its price per user plus a platform fee, so ask for a quote sized to your team.

Does Go Fig record or transcribe calls?

No. Go Fig does not record calls. It reads transcripts from Fathom and Dialpad, the recap emails from Otter, Fireflies, and Read AI, and the calls already logged in your CRM.

Can Go Fig read my Gong calls?

Not today. Go Fig does not connect to Gong. It still reads what Gong sends to your CRM as logged calls and activity, but not Gong's transcripts.

Which one updates my CRM?

Both, in different ways. Gong sends calls, emails, and activities to your CRM, and its AI Data Extractor fills in the fields an admin chooses without the rep doing anything. Go Fig logs notes, stages, and next steps, and each change waits for your OK until you let that kind of change run on its own.

Do Gong or Go Fig connect to ConnectWise or Autotask?

Gong's partner directory lists a ConnectWise connector built by a partner. Go Fig has no PSA connector today, so your PSA stays your PSA.

Does Go Fig replace our PSA?

No. Your PSA keeps running tickets, agreements, and billing. Go Fig works the sales pipeline in your CRM beside it, and it has no PSA connector today.

What does Go Fig cost?

Starter is from $149 a month, and a solutions engineer sets it up with you on a demo. Team and Enterprise are quoted on that same call.
